Industrial vending is a controlled point of issue for tools, consumables and safety gear — a cabinet or dispenser that authenticates the person, releases a single item, and writes the record at the moment of issue. It is one of six formats acuitystore® uses. Density and control are chosen per location: authenticated dispense, item by item, with vend verification on the units that carry it.
acuitystore® puts a controlled point of issue where the work happens and writes the record as the item leaves the shelf — who took it, against which job, and whether it was in date. With that record, consumption is attributable, replenishment runs off real movement and the compliance evidence is already there when it is asked for. Without it, each of those answers has to be rebuilt from memory after the fact.
Weight becomes a signal. Load-cell bays retrofit to existing racking and give continuous on-hand visibility and an automatic reorder signal, across open bays and enclosed cabinets, without anyone counting anything. On high-count, low-value items — fasteners, fittings, cable ties — weight is the only practical method.
Weight counting is only ever as good as the unit weights behind it: a part recorded at the wrong unit weight will count wrongly every time, forever, and it will do so quietly, which is why the unit-weight master is built with you before go-live.
